How to Lose Weight and Cellulite on Your Thighs Fast



It is estimated that up to 80% of women have cellulite on their thighs.  If you don't want to be one of them and want a fast way to get rid of cellulite naturally then read on.

Although you are more likely to form cellulite if you are carrying a few extra pounds you can easily get the characteristic orange peel skin if you are not overweight.

Take a look at the woman on the left.

She is not overweight, but the cellulite is still there and really visible.

Excess fat is only one component of cellulite formation.  AND IT IS NOT THE MOST IMPORTANT.

Cellulite actually forms when the small muscles that form a layer under the skin lose tone. In the illustration the healthy muscles are the bottom layer.  They are there to support skin and give you the smooth appearance that looks attractive and that most are striving for.

When those muscles lose tone the support is not sufficient and your skin begins to dip, form dimples and shadows and the cellulite that you so hate.

So I guess you think I am going to tell you the answer is to spend hours at the Gym or pounding the streets.

The most important key to exercise to reduce cellulite is consistency.

It is no use going flat out in one session.  Burning yourself out.  Suffering aches for days afterwards and then giving up completely.

You need to commit to starting small.  Exercise cellulite regularly. Gradually increase.

  1. Start gently by incorporating a little more exercise for your thighs into everyday life.  If you are a complete couch potato and haven't taken exercise for months...or years. Start slowly by taking a walk each and every day.  You could also commit to taking the stairs rather than an elevator for at least some floors.  Both of these activities will begin to add tone to your legs and thighs

    If you already take regular moderate exercise then take it one stage up.  Try power-walking for a minute several times.  Power walking involves striding out at maximum effort.  Pump your arms if you want to increase the cardio effect further
  2. Probably the best workouts to get rid of cellulite incorporate elements of Pilates and/or yoga to target the muscles that support your skin.  This can easily be done at home, or you could join a class if you find that motivating.  This routine incorporates a series of exercises to get rid of cellulite fast 

The trainer is clearly an expert and trains regularly so take it at your own pace.  Work within your own range of movement and listen to your body - If you can only manage part of the workout that is fine.

Best Exercise and Lotions to eliminate cellulite on legs, thighs and bums



There are hundreds of products all claiming to be the best way to reduce or get rid of cellulite.  It can be really confusing.  So lets take a look at real ways to get rid of cellulite, which lotions for stretch marks really work and how to eliminate cellulite using exercise, creams and natural solutions.


There are really three main things that lead to the development of cellulite;


  • Genetic factors - It's a hard truth but if your Mom suffers, there's a greater chance you will develop
    cellulite too.  But that doesn't mean you can't reduce cellulite
  • Weight issues - Cellulite is fat, just like any other fat.  If you are overweight you are more likely to develop the classic bumpy,orange peel skin on your thighs.  But hang on, there are ways to reduce the appearance.
  • Muscle Tone - If the outer layers of your skin are not well supported by toned underlying muscles, you will find the skin will take on an uneven appearance.  But there are ways to tone and exercise cellulite away - and I'm not talking about spending hours exercising at the gym.
How Can You Get Rid of Cellulite



Firstly make a commitment to lose some weight.  Even shedding a few excess pounds will make a
difference. Start by banning the word diet.  You are aiming to learn how to get rid of fat on thighs not become slimmer of the year.

Pick a few small changes you can make and stick to, then over a period of time add some more strategies until you notice the pounds begin to drop.  Keep it simple and mix it up so you don't get bored and tempted to drop all your efforts.  If one thing doesn't work for you, replace it with something else. Here are a few simple to do ideas
  • Reduce your portion sizes, particularly the amount of carbohydrates that you eat.  The carbs are the starchy, filling parts of your meals.  Just reduce them a little and then maybe in a week or so, reduce them a little more.  If you usually have 3 potatoes, cut back to 2.  Reduce the amount of rice or pasta on your plate by a spoonful or two.  Switch from your usual bread to eating some low calorie crisp-bread.
    Even small changes can make a difference if you stick to them.
  • Try having a fast day once a week.  The 5/2 diet is one of the most popular weight loss programs at the moment.  In that you eat normally/healthily 5 days each week and eat only 500  (600 for men) calories for 2.  If two days is too much try just once a week at first.  The idea is that you are particularly harsh for a part of the week which is easier than watching your intake every day.
    I lost 14 pounds over 6 weeks with the 5/2 diet, so I know it can work
  • Only allow yourself treat food on 2 days each week.  If, like me, you are a chocoholic then allow yourself your treat on just two days and instantly reduce the empty calories in your diet.
Secondly Start to Regain Your Muscle Tone once again the key is to do a little regularly.  If you try to run three miles when you haven't exercised for years you will pick up an injury and stop before you really started.  Whatever the level of your exercise just try to add a little more each week.  Focus particularly on exercise you can enjoy and that tones your legs.  You are not looking for the best cellulite reducing exercise you are looking  for something you can stick to.  Some examples to get you started

  • Walking is great exercise for cellulite.  The muscles of your thighs and bottom will tighten and the cellulite will reduce.  Try walking part the way to work, or to the local shops.  Run up a flight of stairs rather than taking an elevator or just enjoy the local area and take a walk just for fun.  Borrowing a dog for the morning is a great way to enjoy a walk.  Local animal charities will always welcome volunteer walkers.
  • Cycling will really work your thighs and reduce cellulite.  You don't need to race but if you enjoyed cycling when you were younger you will probably enjoy it now.  No need to dress in a ridiculous Lycra outfit.  Look to countries like Holland where cycling is a normal part of life.
  • Swimming is a great supportive exercise.  Even walking around in waist deep water will really tone your thighs
  • Gentle stretching exercise, such a yoga will really help.  By all means join a class but you can get rid of cellulite naturally at home by looking for yoga videos on you tube for free.

I wanted to make sure I sent this to you before my vacation. So here it is.

I started having cellulite since I was about 18 years old. I am the
typical skinny-fat girl type. All women in my family have it, and to top
 it off I have been a sweet and French fries fanatic for many years.

I
 also barely drank water for many years, only when my body wanted to. I
am currently 28 years old and I have been fighting cellulite for about
10 years on and off. I tried all kinds of expensive lotions,
